A new venture brings together Ecosafe International’s trusted water risk and stewardship expertise with VVater’s advanced water treatment technology across Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
Ecosafe International is proud to announce the establishment of VVater APME, a new venture formed with US-based advanced water technology company VVater.
The partnership marks an important evolution in Ecosafe’s ability to support organisations throughout their Water Journey. It brings advanced treatment technology alongside the water risk, governance, assurance and stewardship expertise our Partners already rely on.
VVater APME will initially operate across Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, supporting opportunities across mining, healthcare, defence, government, industrial and other water-intensive environments.
Extending the Water Journey
At Ecosafe, we understand that every organisation’s Water Journey is different.
It may begin with understanding risk: what is in the water, who or what is exposed, and where vulnerabilities exist within the system.
For others, the priority may be governance, compliance and assurance; strengthening accountability, demonstrating control and creating confidence that water-related risks are being managed effectively.
As organisations move further along that journey, the focus can shift towards stewardship, infrastructure resilience, recycled water, operational performance, incident response or finding practical ways to use water more safely and sustainably.
Our role is to help Partners understand where they are, where they need to go and the practical steps required to get there.
Increasingly, however, our work has highlighted another challenge.
What do we actually do about it?
Once a water risk or treatment limitation has been identified, or an opportunity exists to recover and reuse more water, finding credible treatment technology capable of meeting the technical, operational and commercial requirements of complex environments can itself become a significant part of the Water Journey.
VVater APME creates a new pathway to help address that challenge.
Trusted Water Expertise Meets Advanced Treatment Technology
VVater has developed a portfolio of proprietary advanced water treatment technologies, led by its Farady Reactor and Advanced Low Tension Electroporation Process (ALTEP).
The technology uses electric fields as part of the treatment process and has applications spanning drinking water, wastewater, industrial treatment and municipal reuse.
VVater’s Farady Reactor has received recognition including the CES Best of Innovation Award 2025 and TIME Best Invention of 2025, while VVater reports more than 4.3 billion gallons of water treated across its technology deployments.
Through VVater APME, this technology capability can be combined with Ecosafe’s understanding of the regulatory, operational and water-risk environments in which our Partners operate.
“For years we’ve watched clients wrestle with sourcing credible, provable water treatment technology once a risk assessment tells them what they’re up against,” said Ryan Milne, Founder of Ecosafe International.
“This partnership closes a critical gap for us. We’ve always helped clients understand and govern water risk. Now we can combine that trusted advisory capability with proven technology solutions that accelerate the transition from water risk to water certainty.”
Technology is not the beginning of the Water Journey.
Understanding the water, the system, the risk, the people, the regulatory environment and the operational objective must come first.
When treatment is the right response, VVater APME provides another practical pathway from identifying the problem towards implementing an outcome.
This complements Ecosafe’s existing work across water risk assessment, compliance and governance, regional water stewardship, pathogen management, infrastructure and asset management, recycled and wastewater risk, incident response and practical innovative solutions.
Built for Environments Where Water Matters Most
The partnership has particular relevance in environments where water quality, scarcity, resilience and regulatory requirements can have significant consequences for people, operations and communities.
Ecosafe has extensive experience supporting organisations across mining, oil and gas, healthcare, government, industrial and complex infrastructure environments.
Our work spans high-consumption mining and community water interfaces, healthcare pathogen management, stewardship planning, infrastructure lifecycle strategies and recycled-water programs.
“What drew us to this partnership is how much overlap there already was. Ecosafe has spent years building trust with operators in some of the toughest water environments in the world. Pairing that with our technology means we can move faster into markets that badly need it.” — Kevin Gast, Chairman and CEO, VVater
VVater APME will combine this regional understanding with access to VVater’s technology portfolio, engineering and treatment capability.
As the venture matures, there is also a pathway to expand into installation, operations and ultimately in-territory manufacturing, supporting greater regional capability and long-term water security outcomes.
A Broader Platform for Our Partners
For Ecosafe, VVater APME is about more than bringing another technology to market.
It is about continuing to evolve how we support our Partners.
Our Water Journey remains centred on understanding the challenge first: identifying and governing water risk, strengthening assurance, improving stewardship and determining the practical actions that will create meaningful outcomes.
VVater APME means that, where advanced treatment is the right response, we can now help Partners take that journey further.
From water risk to water certainty.
“This is about combining trusted water expertise with proven technology to create better outcomes,” said Milne.
“We are incredibly proud of what the Ecosafe and VVater teams have built together, but the announcement is really only the beginning. The opportunity now is to turn that capability into meaningful outcomes for our Partners, their operations and the communities they support.”
